Submit a Blog Post

We’d like to invite current students and alumni of Appalachian State University to share their career advice on our blog.  

Alumni : Have you found a great job?  Do you have a success story or a cautionary tale that you’d like to share?

Students: Have you had meaningful internship experience?  Do you have any words of wisdom for others students seeking internships?

Please follow the steps below to submit your blog post.

  1. Check out our blog at
  2. Choose a format and tell us your story.  Below are some prompt questions to encourage thought and ideas for your blog post.  Some of our bloggers choose to use the Q&A format, others choose to simply tell their story and offer some advice.  Choose any format that you see fit.
  3. Type your story in a Word document.  Blogs ranging from 500-1000 words are best.
  4. Email the document to Stacey Huffman at
  5. If you would like us to include a web link to your organization, please include the link in your email.
  6. Pictures add a personal touch to the blog! We encourage you to attach a picture of yourself in the email.
  7. Smile, you are providing valuable advice and inspiration for App State students!
